On an unseasonably warm Tuesday morning Lulu and I spent time in the pasture with the Dokka herd. To listen to our podcast, click read more and then click here:  https://archive.storycorps.org/interviews/horse-tales-tuesday-morning-in-the-pasture/

Lulu and I were minding our own business as Lulu introduced me to the herd with back stories. Suddenly, Dokka came from across the field and joined the conversation. Dokka is a very large horse, and it had been a while since I’d been among the horses. Following Lulu and the horses’ lead, I tried to relax.

Seems whenever Lulu is in the field, the horses immediately respond by wanting to be near her. Lulu and the horses understand one another and there is a relationship built on trust and respect. Who am I to disagree with that?

As we were talking Magic, Dale and Mike joined us. We continued to brainstorm ideas about storytelling for the ranch with the help from the horses.

I will say, whenever I’m in the pasture with the horses and Lulu, I get a sense of calm and ease. It’s incredibly peaceful in the field.

And that was my reminder on that gorgeous Tuesday morning. Find peace. Be peaceful. Breathe.

Expect Good. Sparkle on. Defy Gravity. Walk on.
